About us
Marriotts was first established in 1860 and grew to become one of Nottingham’s largest independent estate agencies, letting and property management, commercial property and surveying practices. The partnership disbanded when the senior partners retired in early 2020, with the individual property disciplines being sold to other established property companies.
Mike Collins and Suzie Phillips took over the Mapperley office in February 2020 and Marriotts today remains a totally independently run estate agency which we are very proud of!
Both Mike and Suzie worked in senior roles within Marriotts previously, and remain completely dedicated, both actively work hands-on alongside our experienced, knowledgeable, long serving and dedicated team.
Living and working locally all the team are committed to providing the best customer experience to our clients, using their expert knowledge of the sales and lettings process and local area.

Our Team
Mike Collins
Mike has been a property professional for over 30 years!
Mike grew up in the local area and having dedicated his career here it gives him the advantage of a detailed and unrivalled knowledge of the Nottingham property market and property values.
As one of our Directors Mike works very much ‘hands on’ in the business and prides himself on delivering sound, honest and no-nonsense common-sense advice to our clients.
Suzie Phillips
Suzie is our other Director with an in-depth knowledge of residential property related matters having worked in the property industry for nearly 30 years.
After beginning and progressing her career in Surrey, Suzie moved to Nottingham in 2008, joining Marriotts in early 2010.
Passionate about getting things right and providing excellent customer service, Suzie has a ‘hands on’ role and leads our established team in Mapperley.
Tracey Harlow
Tracey has been part of the Marriotts team since 2002 and has over 30 years’ experience in estate agency.
Working mainly behind the scenes, Tracey helps with the day-to-day running of the office and sales progression, keeping things moving from offer through to completion. She is friendly, approachable and always happy to help wherever needed.
Lorraine Miles
Lorraine has over 10 years experience in property lettings, administration and property management.
Lorraine is calm natured, unflappable and super organised with excellent attention to detail, especially ensuring our clients properties remain safe for the tenants and legally compliant.
Joann Burley
Jo started her career in Essex in 1987.
Following her relocation to Nottingham she initially worked for an estate agent in Southwell before joining Marriotts in 2008. Jo is humorous, personable and chatty with a wealth of experience and knowledge to assist our clients.
Sarah Stillman

With nearly 20 years property sales & lettings experience, Sarah is our Lettings Manager, providing expert lettings advice and top customer service with her friendly, down to earth and personable approach.
Sarah loves a good chat, lives locally and is a big footie fan!
Lucy Bancroft
Lucy began her Estate agency career in 2000 working in Nottingham city centre and quickly developed a passion for guiding her clients through the buying and selling process. Over the years Lucy has gained a range of experience across different roles and locations and eventually settled in Mapperley, close to the Gedling area where she grew up. Lucy takes pride in being personable and efficient, she is always willing to go the extra mile to assist.
With a love for the outdoors and animals, especially her poodle Rupert and our office doggies!
Jane Hale
With over 40 years of experience in both large corporate and independent estate agencies, Jane built a stellar reputation before retiring from Marriotts a few years ago. We are now thrilled to have tempted her back on a part-time basis.
Jane brings a wealth of knowledge, warmth, and professionalism and you are most likely to meet her when viewing one of our properties.
Jack Clayton
We first met Jack aged 16 when he spent a week with us for work experience whilst he was at school.
Having now graduated from Nottingham Trent University, Jack is working part-time whilst continuing with further studies.
You will find him to be personable, super polite, chatty and keen to help our clients any way he can.
Adam Hooley
Adam is our calm and friendly resident Mortgage Adviser.
Adam has worked in Estate agency for over 10 years, working in lettings and sales before finding his calling in mortgages. Being part of Mortgage Advice Bureau, Adam has access to over 90 lenders to help first time buyers, home movers and those looking to a secure a new mortgage deal.
Our clients can expect to build a long lasting relationship with Adam, he’s here to help throughout the life of your mortgage.
Valerie
Valerie comes to work most days and is here to meet and greet our clients! She keeps busy by looking out of the window, playing with her Mapperley doggie friends when they call in, and relaxing in her favourite chair looking very cute! Pop in and say hi – she will be delighted to see you.
Willow
Willow is often in the office and has been instantly loved by our team and clients alike. She keeps herself busy chasing Valerie, chewing toys and investigating all corners of the office (and the bins!). Willow loves people, you will receive an extremely waggy tail welcome if you call in!
Rosie
Rosie sadly passed away aged 14 years old over the Christmas period 2024, it was very sad coming back to the office in the new year without her.
She is very much missed by all the team and our clients.
