A huge well done to the incredible team at Bags of Blessings.
Their Christmas 2025 campaign brought a little festive magic to 2,381 underprivileged children across Nottinghamshire, each receiving a bag filled with thoughtful age-appropriate gifts.
We’re delighted that Marriotts could play a part once again with collecting community donations, Marriotts and our team members providing gifts and chocolates, and giving a staff day, along with the wrapping paper to help wrap the presents that went into some of the bags.
Knowing we’ve contributed, even in a small way, gives us that warm, fuzzy feeling that only community spirit can bring.

Marriotts are delighted to continue our support of the Arnold Eagles Wizards 🦅, now competing as the under-10 girls this season. The team look fantastic in their new kit! ⚽
Over the past few years, the girls have grown in both confidence and ability, building strong friendships that support one another on and off the pitch. They continue to show great respect for the game and their competitors, embodying the true team spirit.

🎁 Bags of Blessings Christmas 2025🎄
We are delighted to be assisting Bags of Blessings again this year with their annual collection and already have our first full box!
✨Let's all come together – and we can help spread a little joy to underprivileged children locally.
Bags of Blessings, based in Arnold has launched its annual Christmas Appeal, and need your help to make it magical for children who might otherwise go without.
🧸 What Can You Donate? We are collecting small toys, games, puzzles, toiletries (especially for teens), chocolates, water bottles, hats and gloves, Christmas cards and craft items. Items are wrapped and carefully prepared in a red bag, then distributed through Foodbanks to brighten a child's Christmas morning.
✨ Why It Matters - For many families facing hardship, the festive season can be a painful reminder of what they can't provide. Your donation—no matter how small—can turn that around. A cuddly toy, a fun game, or even a handwritten card can bring comfort, excitement, and hope.
📦 How to Give - Drop off your donations here at Marriotts in Mapperley from now through to the end of November.

The under-9s winning streak continues - five match wins with only one goal conceded throughout the Mansfield Society of Referees’ tournament this weekend is something to be seriously proud of!
🌟 Shout-out to the players for their relentless energy and sportsmanship, and to the team coaches for their support, guidance, and strategy behind the scenes.

Bags of Blessings Easter Collection 2025
Our collection box is nearly full here in the Marriotts office!
Thank you to anyone who has popped in with a contribution.
Marriotts contribution has now been added and it gives us a warm fuzzy feeling knowing a chocolate treat will bring a smile to a child during the Easter holidays this year.
If you have a little something to drop in, please do so as soon as possible so the Bags of Blessings team can finish making up the packs to distribute to local food banks in time for the school holidays.

Mapperley Christmas Festival 2024
Are you going to the Mapperley Christmas Festival and light switch on this Sunday 24th November?
This wonderful local event has been organised by St James Church, be sure to buy a raffle ticket for the prize draw to support this event and you may win our lovely M&S gift bag!
The event runs from 12-6pm at Mapperley top shopping precinct, with local stalls and shops open.

Our collection point for Bags of Blessings 2024 Christmas appeal is well on the way!
We are proud to be helping this wonderful local charity for the 4th year running to bring joy to underprivileged children this Christmas.
Thank you so much if you have dropped in a donation already, every little helps to bring a smile to a child this Christmas.
Gifts for children from birth to 18 are all gratefully received – especially gifts for children over 7, toys for boys and teenage boys which they are always short on.
Please do pop into our office in Mapperley at any time if you wish to donate a small toy or gift, story/reading book, confectionary items, pens/pencils/crayons, colouring or activity books for all ages.

The 2024 collection so far...
Marriotts have planted 1000 new trees!
We have just planted 1000 more trees with Just One Tree!
WHY TREES?
Trees are the primary method we have for removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Without planting more, we'll not survive as a species.
And if cleaning the air we breathe wasn't impressive enough, trees also filter our water, stabilise the soil, form complex ecosystems, supply us with medicine and create sustainable incomes.
Our 1000 new trees will remove approximately 308 tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere over the next 25 years.

St James Church have an EASTER SHEEP TRAIL on Mapperley Top – complete the trail and take your completed trail sheet to collect your prize from the Mapperley Churches Together stall on Mapperley Top on Friday 29th March between 10am-2pm.
You can pick up a trail sheet in the office here at Marriotts and from other local Mapperley shops, or you can download a copy from our website.
